Wild Wonders Wild & Exotic Animal Show

Wild Wonders is a state and federally licensed facility wild animals that cannot be sent back to the wild. Run by Sarah and Spencer Jacobsen, the facility houses more than 20 wild and exotic animals, which are frequently taken to schools to educate children and which will be joining us at Soldier Hollow on Saturday through Monday.  Animals might include everything from a baby skunk, to a hedgehog, to a yellow bellied marmot.  Sarah promises a fun and educational 45 minute program which will run three times a day Satuday, Sunday and Monday. In between shows Sarah and Nephi will have many animals out in their interactive center allowing kids the chance to get up close and personal with their favorite animals.

Earthwings

How many times have you heard the piercing cry of a hawk or falcon and looked up to see it flying overhead, and marveled at its effortless ability to soar in the sky and wished you could ride along on its widespread wings?  Earthwings brings those remarkable birds to Soldier Hollow so you and your family can have a truly up close and personal experience with hawks, owls, and falcons.

While educating the public about their wild birds, nature and conservation is one of our goals, we also want to motivate people to get involved in saving these amazing creature’s natural habitats. Earthwings will be performing on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.  Check the schedule on this site (posted in late July) for daily times.  In between shows Eric will be talking to the public one on one and giving people the opportunity to meet these beautiful raptors and even hold them.

Arts, Crafts and Music

Fiber arts, pottery, jewelry, leather craft  are just some of the great arts and crafts available at the Vita Bone Soldier Hollow Classic.  We feature a broad selection of products that are hand made, agricultural or that relate to the world of dogs.  You’ll find elegant hand knit sweaters, traditional hand made pottery and jewelry crafted by top silversmiths.

We are also proud to sponsor our Adopt a Native Elder tent which features authentic Navajo Rugs and demonstrations by Navajo Weavers.  Over the last 400 years, the Navajo People created one of the great shepherding cultures of the world in the American Southwest.  This show features a huge selection of authentic Navajo rugs, textiles and jewelry and will also feature Navajo weaving demonstrations. 100% of all proceeds from this show go directly to the weavers who created them.

International Food Court

Our International Food Court is sponsored by the Utah’s Lamb &  Wool Producers and we make this promise: Great Food that far exceeds the usual selection of dogs and burgers found at most fairs. We’ve audition hundreds of vendors and select just a few to ensure that every meal served at the Vita Bone Soldier Hollow Classic is both a bit unusual and absolutely delicious. Our food vendors represent some of Utah’s best.

You’ll choose from dozens of great entrees including Greek gyros, roast Greek lamb, philly cheese steak sandwiches, asian tacos & sliders, Mexican tacos and burritos, great fish & chips, western barbecue ribs, Hawaiian plates, Basque chorizo and short ribs, Canadian poutine and so much more!  Every meal vendor will offer at least one kid’s meal for $5.00 or less. While we feature American Lamb, you’ll also find great beef, poultry and even vegetarian entrees.

More Fun for Kids

Top to bottom this event focuses on kids having a good time! This includes the featured entertainment listed above, and all of the Vita Bone Dog Activities but it doesn’t end there.  Your kids will find lots of additional mini activities throughout the venue.  There are hula hoops, bean bag toss games, the lost sheep game, face painting, balloon artists, coloring contest (with free ice cream novelties to every entrant, and more.  Sometimes a simple activity, like milking the IFA plywood cow, is more fun that you can ever imagine!
