Description
Quark is a 9 year old female owned by Terry Folsom and bred, raised and trained by Amanda Milliken. Quark’s parents were both Soldier Hollow medalists: Dorey and Howell. Quark is a calm reserved dog who usually knows what the job is that needs to be done and she uses just the right amount of pressure to get it done. She likes to be asked and not told what to do. She loves warm fires and rubs and just to be close. Mich has had the great pleasure and honor to be running her for Terry Folsom, who left us in March of 2023 after beating the odds of pancreatic cancer for 10 years. Border collies and sheepdog herding were extremely important to Terry. She knew so much about the dogs: their pedigrees, abilities, personalities and successes. Terry said that Quark was the best dog to ever come into her life and she wanted to know that Quark would have a forever home and be run to the best of her abilities at some of the bigger trials in the country and here she is!
In addition to training and trialing sheepdogs and taking care of her sheep, Mich has a full-time practice as an equity veterinarian with a special interest in equine sports medicine. Mich also describes herself as a “foodie,” with a love for good food and wine.
