Description
Reyn is a 5-year old female Border Collie, born on Paul’s farm. Rein is a willing partner. No matter if its working stock at home, competing in a trial, or gathering sheep in Montana, she is always up for whatever Paul wants to do. Reyn is sired by Amanda Milliken’s champion Howell, and out of Brian Cash’s Val. Reyn is Paul’s first border collie. He whelped her mom out for a friend and had no intention of getting into border collies. As soon as her eyes were open, she changed that. If I was near the kennel her eyes were on Paul, wiggling as fast as her little legs would carry her across the whelping box to get to him. She was the start for Paul . . . and the first of many.
Paul lives in the finger lakes region of New York. He started running USBCHA trials with two kelpies in 2016. Both made it to open. With his border collies, Paul has been in the top ten in points for NEBCA for the last several years, Reserve Champion ’22 Fall Foliage Double life. He was the ’23 Fall Foliage Double Lift Champion, qualifying him to run her at Soldier Hollow, and won the NEBCA Long Road Award. Paul and his partners own an equestrian center and he also keeps about 200 ewes on an adjacent farm. He is a Cornell Graduate Farrier, specializing in Eventers and Dressage. Paul also teaches lessons and takes in outside dogs for training.
