Soldier Hollow Classic Qualifying Trials

  • The top five finalists at 2024 Soldier Hollow Classic Sheepdog Championship & Festival
  • The Soldier Hollow Gold Medalist from the prior two years (2022 & 2024)
  • The Champion and Reserve Champion from the 2024 USBCHA National Sheepdog Finals
  • The Champion from the 2024 Canadian National Championship
  • The Champion from the 2024 Kingston Sheepdog Championship
  • The Champion from the 2024 Meeker Classic
  • The Champion from the 2024 WWSDA Sheepdog Trial
  • The Champion from the 2024 Bluegrass Classic
  • The Champion from the 2024 Strang Ranch Spring Sheepdog Trial
  • The Champion from the 2024 Tabletop Sheepdog Trial
  • The Champion from the 2024 Fall Foliage Sheepdog Trial
  • The prior year’s Soldier Hollow Judge (good for 1 of the next 3 years)

Jan. 3-5:  First round invitations  sent.
Jan. 21: First round entries due.
Jan. 22: second round invitations begin as we hear from initial invitees.

Pet Policy

Due to the nature of this event and the large crowds, spectator animals are not allowed at the Soldier Hollow Classic Sheepdog Championship & Festival. Only animals involved in the Sheepdog competition, animal-based demonstrations, and  service animals will be allowed access into the event. Should spectators arrive at the event with their animals, and it is not a leashed service animal, they will need to take their animals home prior to entering the event.
