Description
Nick is a 5-year old male. He was bred by one of Christine’s friends in New York who has a grand-daughter out of Christine’s first border collie, Rook. Christine wanted to continue with this breeding line with this pup. Nick has plenty of push and scope. Christine reports that he was a tough dog for her to handle in his younger years, but has finally settled and has become a nice working partner. Nick has had numerous placings at many trials including Kingston, Front Runner and Shepherd’s Crook. He is extremely affectionate, crazy about the frisbee and has quite the vocal repertoire.
Christine is from Housatonic, Massachusetts. Her first dog was an English Shepherd. When he passed away, she researched intelligent dogs and found out about the Border Collie. She attended a sheepdog trial in 1998 as a spectator, and “that was it” for her! She purchased her first Border Collie puppy, Rook, in March 1999 and has been “devoted to these phenomenal dogs and the sport ever since.” Her dogs, in turn, have taken her to a number of wins and double lift finals and to the USBCHA National Open or Nursery Finals every year since 2002. When not on the road trailing her dogs, Christine is the Lease Administration Manager for Roses stores with over 400 locations throughout the southeast. Her hobbies are, predictably, dogs and sheep, and also photography.
