Roadie is a 10 year old” perfect gentleman of a dog.”  Lise notes that Roadie transformed her dog trialing career. Roadie is from Texas, out of Faansie Basson’s Don and Kay Stephens’ Storm. He is 1 of 7 dogs of a litter that all qualified and ran at the USBCHA nursery finals, a rare situation. Roadies highest accomplishment is placing 12th at the USBCHA 2022 Finals which earned him a spot on the 2023 USA world team.  Lise and Roadie  traveled in Ireland for 3 weeks preparing for the World Trial.  “It was a competition of a life time!”  Roadie has won the Double Lift at Tabletop SDT, the District 2 double lift, and multiple open trials.  This is his last year competing before retiring.

In addition to training dogs, Lise is the owner of the Rocky Mountain Equine Clinic in Larkspur, Colorado. Lise went to watch the Meeker Classic in 2003 and, like others, was hooked.   Lise also hosts the Tabletop trial and handlers from all over the country come to the trial to work the diverse terrain and challenging sheep over a four-day period. Because of herding, Lise now raises four different breeds of sheep and goats and sells wool and lamb as a side business.
