Description
Tui is a 3-year old border collie, home bred by Amanda. She is out of Amanda’s Dar (also running here at Soldier Hollow) and Randy Dye’s Ross, now Michelle Prescott-Guderian’s Ross. Tui was the 2022 Reserve National Nursey Champion.
Amanda was first introduced to border collies four decades ago when her sister, who had worked with border collies and sheep in England, brought a dog to help them with their sheep. She now divides her time between her dogs, a flock of 130 North Country Cheviot ewes, four Welsh Cobs (larger native Welsh ponies) and her responsibilities as the CEO of a cardiac care company, Home Cardiographics. She offers clinics, and sometimes has puppies, trained and started dogs for sale. Amanda has contributed to the organization and governance of the CBCA (Canadian Border Collie Assoc.), the USBCHA and the ABCA (American Border Collie Association. She has hosted numerous trials over 30 years, mentored new handlers, and produced a proven line of dogs.
