Murray, Terry – JILL

Description

Now 6, Jill came to Terry when she was a year old as a recent import from the Netherlands.  She had a rough start in her relationship with humans — she was fast, crazy and most definitely didn’t trust Terry.  Terry, however, had a feeling that there was a great worker under all that so she just kept coming up with different ways to get her to hook onto her.  Jill still has her worries about people and that can influence her performance at trials, but she has slowly gained confidence in their relationships and gives everything she can at every turn in the road.  Jill has a lovely touch with sheep and has the ability to stay working for Terry regardless of how difficult things get.  Jill made the semi-finals at the 2023 National Finals and placed 6th in the Double Lift Final at the 2023 Meeker Classic.  Terry and Jill’s journey has “been an education” for Terry and she is thankful Jill found her way to her.

Terry first met a border collie about 20 years ago and started trialing a couple of years after that. She has previously made the finals here at Soldier Hollow as well as multiple times at the National Finals, the Bluegrass Classic and Meeker.  She was slated to go to the World Trial with her dog Minette, but it was canceled due to Covid. Together with Bridget Strang, they are hosting the USBCHA National Finals for the fourth time in Colorado.
