Rhoades, Susan – WISE

Susan bought Wise in 2021 from Barbara Ray and she notes that Wise has more experience trialing than she does.  Wise is the first dog to take Susan to the National Finals. Now 7 years old, Wise is Susan’s favorite partner, whether trialing or working the farm.

Susan lives on a 70 acre farm in Berryville, Va.  She never dreamed of owning a farm until she took her first border collie for an instinct test.  She was hooked. She now owns Keepstone Farm, with around 100 sheep and 25 cows.  Keepstone Farm is an  all season stock dog training facility, offering multiple services for herding dog owners and handlers, and they also put on a few sheepdog trials every year.
