Comeau, Linda – REX

Description

Rex is a 6-year old male that Linda purchased in the Fall of 2022.  She is amazed at how quickly he became devoted to her.  He is out of S Van Der Sweep’s Gary and D Gaffney’s Rosie.  Rex spent the entire 2023 season injured — three surgeries and seven months in a crate.  Soldier Hollow will be Linda and Rex’s second trial running as a team.  Linda is excited he ready to be back on the trial field.  According to Linda, if Rex loves you, he hugs you – a total body hug.

Linda comes to us from Alberta, Canada where she manages a sheep farm in Central Alberta and hosts the Red Lodge Sheepdog Trial.  Linda started trialing in 2006 with a border collie she purchased to compete in flyball and agility.  The dog didn’t like either sport so she decided to try  her on sheep.  Three years later, she owned a farm and a house full of border collies!  It does that to a person!  Linda was the 2016 Western Canadian Reserve Champion and has been a finalist at the National Finals, the Meeker Classic, and the Western Canadian double lift.  In her “prior life,” Linda was a paralegal with PepsiCo Canada.  She now focuses on dogs, sheep and horses.
