Description

Hope is a 9 year old border collie. Scott raised Hope from a pup and she has been one of his best dogs since they started competing. She competed at Soldier Hollow in 2021 and made the double lift finals.  Scott notes that Hope has always been an easy dog to train and handle.  “Show her once and she’s got it.” She only weighs 30 lbs. but, when she’s on sheep, she means business.
Scott wasn’t raised around livestock. His dad was a football coach and his mom was a teacher so they lived in town. Scott played sports, playing golf in college and played and taught golf for a few years after college before getting into the restaurant business, which he has been in for 24 years. He owns and manages two restaurants  Scott was introduced to Border Collies when he was at an obedience class with his Australian Shepherd and the guy next door had sheep in the field.  Scott spent more time watching the sheep than paying attention to the class.  After the class he asked the lady who was teaching to introduce him to the guy. Scott then met Stewart Harvard and they became best friends.  Scott was then hooked on the sport, entering his first open trial in 2014.  Scott now has a small flock of Cheviot and Katahdin sheep.
Anne:  Anne is a 10 year old border collie. She was raised and trained by Scott and Jenny Glen before going to Frank Smith in Georgia. In November of 2021 Frank asked me if I would like to run Anne and we hooked up right away. She has been a very solid and consistent dog for me. Anne was a double lift finalist at the 2023 USBCHA Finals.
