Description
According to Bryan, he has never had a dog that wants to please him as much as Nan . She is loyal and pretty honest. When he first got her, she was very shy about people. It took his wife 6 months to be able to touch her. She is a completely different with other dogs — she really loves other dog. Nan had a good nursery year, placing 5th in the National Finals in 2022. Last year, she had a really good year for her — placing 7th at Meeker and 10th at the National finals as well as other good finishes at trials around the country.
Bryan has been trialing and training for about 15 years. He has some great success around the country with his dogs making every major double lift multiple times from all over the country. Bryan also enjoys teaching other people with their dogs and he finds it very fulfilling. He gets very excited to see some of the folks he has helped have success. Before entering the sheepdog world, Bryan was a serious surfer and was always near the ocean. He rescued a dog that was part border collie, and someone told him it was a herding dog and that he ought to see if it had any instinct. Not having really any idea what it was all about, he had an instinct test and became intrigued. He bought his first border collie, Scoop, off the internet and was fortunate to get a good dog right from the start. He was hooked, and the rest is history … and a big change from surfing.
