Description
Finn is a 8-year-old Border Collie, last year’s Reserve Champion here at Soldier Hollow and the 2023 Purina “Dog of the Year.” Finn has an excellent disposition off the field and really likes people. On the field he is very focused, a really good listener with great feel on sheep. Like many dogs, Finn missed his Nursery year because of Covid, but his training continued. Finn and Faansie were on the 2023 U.S. World Team, placing 15th in the Final. Both of Finn’s parents were from Wales, with his father being Tan Hill Glen, an excellent sire who has bred many fine working dogs.
Faansie is from South Africa, where he won the South African Championship seven times and the South African Brace Competition 13 times. He and his family came to the United States in December 2014 and are now living in Kentucky. His success continues here in the U.S. as a Meeker Champion, Bluegrass Champion, Purina Dog of the Year, and Texas top dog award winner. He travels all over the U.S. giving lessons and clinics and competing with his fine dogs.
