Coker-Sells, Angie – PEPPER

Description

Lad ( male, on the right)  and Pepper (female, on the left) are 5 year old home raised dogs and litter mates.  They go back to Angie’s Sam, which was one of only a few dogs to have ever won the National Open and Nursery Finals. Both are Open Trial winners and qualified for and competed in their first  National Finals in 2023 with Lad reaching the semi finals. Pepper’s favorite past time when she’s not work sheep is going to the barn to watch for the cat, which she will happily chase if he runs!

Angie lives on her family’s ranch in central Oklahoma with her husband Scott and daughter Kyann. They maintain a flock of 300 White Dorper ewes, a small herd of Kiko goats and Angus cross cows. Angie has been trialing and training Border Collies for 31 years. To date, she is the youngest person to win the USBCHA Open Finals and the first handler to win Open and Reserve Championships at the same Finals.  Angie is the second of only four women to have won the Open Finals. She is also a twice Reserve National Champion, twice National Nursery Champion, twice Reserve National Nursery Champion, Meeker Classic Champion, and Solider Hollow Champion.
