Description
Kato is a 6-year-old male who Michael says he could write a book about called “The Kato Stories.” Michael was his when Kato opened his eyes at 2 weeks old, and what a ride it’s been. Kato has recovered from a broken jaw due to a bull with horns and also heart disease—with a change in diet and supplements, he has recovered nicely. A clinician that Michael works with tells people that he loves that dog and he’s not sure why. His comment about Kato is, “What makes him good also makes him hard.” Kato will always be Michael’s little boy.
Michael McNutt lives in Blue Rock, Ohio on an 80-acre farm in southeast Ohio where he and his wife Phyllis raise cattle and sheep. Michael has been retired from the farrier business for three years. His first border collie, Rio, is 14 years old and still with them. His dog Win won the 2019 sheep nursery finals in Colorado, and Kato and Bree that he’s running here are out of her. Michael and Phyllis love to raise good healthy food on their farm and go see their grandchildren in California. Phyllis loves the art of cooking and Michael loves her and his dogs!
