Description
Nora is a 10-year-old female, sired by Bill and out of Imp. Braehead Maid. She has traveled all over the country with Alicia attending sheepdog trials, including the World Sheepdog Trial in Ireland where she represented the USA. She was Alicia’s very first competitive trial dog and did a lot of the heavy lifting in the early years. She made her first double lift trial on her 2nd birthday in Wisconsin. Nora also loves to play frisbee and attended a frisbee championship in her younger years. She has always been a gifted outrunner—she has run on courses with outruns equaling 1000 yards and landed perfectly behind her sheep without help from Alicia.
Alicia Lund lives in Vonore, Tennessee. She bought her first border collie, Frank, in 2009 to do dog sports and stumbled across an intro to herding clinic. Her dog was very keen and natural, and they were immediately hooked. They started taking weekly lessons and trialing shortly after that. Alicia represented the United States at the 2023 World Sheepdog Trial in Ireland, was 2024 Ranch Masters Classica Double Lift Champion, and has been a double lift finalist at Kingston in 2024 and 2025, along with many open trial wins. She raises North Country Cheviots and trains working border collies full time for a living on her sheep farm in East Tennessee. Alicia loves to read, especially Stephen King, and is trying to finish his entire catalog. She had never been around sheep or border collies before getting her first dog in 2009—he had a profound impact on her life that now completely revolves around farming and training working border collies.
