Description
Sid is a 5-year-old male, is a grandson of Scott Glen’s tremendous Alice, USA and bred by Jamie out of Alta-Pete Brit and Imp. Kell (Annie Reynolds). Even though Sid is occasionally in Monster’s shadow, he is working to make a name for himself and will be Jamie’s backup dog traveling to Scotland for the World Trial. He is a strong, stylish, forward dog with a lot of presence, yet tries very hard to do everything Jamie asks of him. Jamie has loved him since the day he was born, and from a very young age he picked her as his person—and she’s so glad she listened. Away from work he’s a big, silly clown and he’s also Jamie’s favorite dog to use during lambing.
Jamie Spring ranches in western South Dakota with her husband Lee and their two daughters, who are the fifth generation on the family ranch. They raise commercial beef cattle and fine-wool ewes on the expansive prairie, and Jamie’s dogs help with daily management of the ranch. She attended her first sheepdog trial in 2005, and while ranching and mom life don’t allow for much time to trial, she goes as often as she’s able. Jamie and her family also host an annual sheepdog trial at their ranch and love welcoming handlers from across the U.S. and Canada. She is the current Meeker Classic Champion and will have the enormous honor of representing Team USA at the World Trial this September in Scotland.
